He holds a BSc Sociology and Anthropology Degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. He also studied at the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria where he obtained both MSc and Doctoral degrees in Sociology, with bias in Medical Sociology/Anthropology. He teaches at the Department of Sociology, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, Nigeria. He is a Nigerian collaborator on the Global Burden of Disease study, funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and hosted at the Institute of Health Metrics and Evaluation, University of Washington, Seattle. He is on the MSc Bioethics training at the University of Ibadan.
