Jemee Tegli serves as the Director of Operations for the Liberia-United States Clinical Research Program under the name “Partnership for Research on Vaccines and Infectious Diseases in Liberia (PREVAIL). He previously worked for the University of Liberia-Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation (UL-PIRE- an HIV/STD prevention research center) as Center Director from 2011 – 2014. Mr. Tegli also serves as Coordinator of the UL-PIRE Institutional Review Board (IRB) and a Member of the National Research Ethics Board (NREB) of Liberia. He is an international IRB Member of the Western Intuitional Review Board (WIRB)-Copernicus Group based in Puyallup, Washington, USA. He has a Master of Degree in Regional Science from the University of Liberia. He is trained Bioethics from the University of Washington and WIRB in 2013. He has attended several basic and advance research ethics and bioethics trainings in Sub-Saharan Africa and the United States. He is a contributing author to the book “Research Ethics in Africa – A Resource for Research Ethics Committees. Chapter 9, Informed Consent in an African Context.”
